Legendary Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor died at the age of 67. A day earlier, his elder brother Randhir Kapoor had said that the actor had a problem with breathing in Mumbai’s H.K. N. Reliance taken to the hospital. Ranbir then said, “He is in the hospital. He is suffering from cancer and has trouble breathing, so he admitted to the hospital. He is stable now.” Rishi Kapoor died a day after the death of actor Irrfan Khan. PTI confirmed the death of Rishi Kapoor at Randhir’s Mumbai Hospital. Amitabh Bachchan tweeted his condolences.
The actor returned to India in September last year after undergoing treatment for cancer in the US for almost a year. In February, Rishi Kapoor was hospitalized twice due to his health issues.
He was earlier admitted to a hospital in Delhi, where he was attending a family function. At the time, He said that he was suffering from an “infection”. After returning to Mumbai, he was again admitted to a hospital with viral fever. He discharged shortly thereafter.
Rishi Kapoor, who is very active on social media, has not posted anything on his Twitter account since April 2.
The actor recently announced his next project, a remake of Hollywood film The Intern, also featuring Deepika Padukone.
